Abstract: | The genus Latana Cameron is recognized as being a member of the Braconinae and a new species, L. keijua Laurenne & Quicke, parasitic on lamiine cerambycid beetle larvae in western Uganda is illustrated and described as new. DNA sequence data were used to confirmthe host–parasitoid association. A key is provided to separate the new species from the type-species of the genus.Observation of ovipositor buckling is presented, andthe distri- bution of facial protuberances in the Braconidae is discussed. |
