Abstract:

Twenty-one species of the family Braconidae (Hymenoptera) are added to the checklist of Braconi- dae from Madeira, resulting in 113 species, of which 17 species are endemic to Madeira Islands and 4 species are only known from Madeira and Canary Islands. Five species are reported new for the Selvagens Islands. Five new species are described and illustrated: Homolobus (Apatia) madeirensis spec. nov. (Homolobinae), Dinotrema glabriscutum spec. nov., D. brunneicornis spec. nov. and Or- thostigma minusculum spec. nov. (Alysiinae: Alysiini) and Phaedrotoma flaveola spec. nov. (Opiinae: Opiini). Meteorus pendulus (Müller, 1776) is considered to be a Holarctic species, with as junior syno- nyms the Nearctic Perilitus communis Cression, 1872 (syn. nov.) and the Palaearctic Ichneumon gyrator Thunberg, 1822.
